What Happened
The wiring and electrical connectors in your vehicle control the heating and air conditioning system. In some 2006-2011 BMW models, these components can get too hot, causing a fire risk.
Risk if Unfixed
If the wiring overheats, it could melt the electrical connectors, even when your car is parked and unattended. This could lead to a fire.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the faulty wiring and electrical connectors with new ones at no cost to you. You'll receive a notice when the repair is ready, and you should schedule it as soon as possible.
