AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:DRIVER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The driver's air bag in your vehicle is the part that deploys in a crash to protect you. In some older BMW models, the air bag inflator, which is a crucial part of that system, may fail due to aging and humidity exposure, causing it to explode with force.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, the air bag inflator could rupture, sending sharp metal pieces into your body, potentially causing serious injury or even death.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the faulty air bag inflator with a new, safer one, absolutely free of charge. You'll be notified when it's time to schedule the repair, and it'll be done at no cost to you.
