What Happened
The fuel rail in your vehicle is a part that carries fuel from the engine to your fuel injectors. In some 2015-2018 Audi A8, 2016-2018 Q7, and 2016-2018 A6 and A7 models, the left and right fuel rails can crack and leak fuel.
Risk if Unfixed
If fuel leaks out and there's an ignition source nearby, like a spark or flame, it could catch fire. This is a serious situation that could cause a fire.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the faulty left and right fuel rails with new ones, at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible when you receive the recall notice from Audi.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Q7, A6 and A7 vehicles, and 2015-2018 Audi A8 vehicles. The left and right fuel rails may leak fuel.

Audi has notified owners, and dealers will replace the left and right fuel rail, free of charge. The recall began February 28, 2019. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 24DP.
