AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION:FRONT PASSENGER

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The occupant classification system in your vehicle is a sensor that helps the air bag deploy in a crash. The front passenger seat has a special electrical connection that helps this system work. In some 2023 and 2024 Audi models, this connection can come loose and stop the air bag from deploying.
Risk if Unfixed
If the front passenger air bag doesn't deploy in a crash, you could be left without protection and at risk of serious injury.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the faulty occupant detection system control module at no charge to you. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.

AIR BAGS:SIDE/WINDOW

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The driver's side air bag in your vehicle is a safety feature that deploys to cushion you in the event of a side impact. In some 2023-2024 Audi models, this air bag wasn't properly attached to the seat, which could compromise its effectiveness.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a side crash and the air bag doesn't deploy correctly, you could be at risk of more serious injury than you would be with a properly functioning air bag.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will make sure the air bag is securely attached to your seat, and they'll do it at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
