What Happened
The fuel pump in your Audi Q8 or Q7 is the part that sends gasoline from the tank to your engine. In certain 2019-2021 models, a small component inside this pump might break, causing it to fail.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fuel pump fails while you're driving, your engine could suddenly shut off, losing power steering and power brakes. This could make it harder to control your vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Audi will replace the faulty fuel pump with a new one at no cost to you. You should schedule this free repair as soon as you receive the recall notice, which was mailed December 22, 2022.

The rear seat belt in your vehicle has an automatic locking retractor that helps keep your child's seat secure. In some models, this retractor can fail to lock properly.

The air bag control module in your Audi Q7 is the computer that helps deploy the air bag in a crash. In some 2020-2021 models, the module might send the second stage of the air bag to deploy too quickly when a child is in the front passenger seat.

If a child is in the front passenger seat when the air bag deploys, the second stage could deploy too quickly, which could cause serious injury to the child.
