What Happened
The fuel pump in your Audi Q8 or Q7 delivers gasoline from the tank to your engine. In some 2019-2021 models, a part inside the pump can break, causing it to fail.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fuel pump fails, your engine could stall while driving, making it hard to control your vehicle. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the faulty fuel pump with a new one, at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible and contact Audi's customer service at 1-800-253-2834 with the recall number 20DR.

What Happened
The air bag control module in your Audi Q7 is like the brain that decides when and how to deploy the air bag. In 2020-2021 models, this brain might send the second stage of the air bag too quickly when a child is in the front passenger seat.
Risk if Unfixed
If a child is in the front passenger seat and a crash happens, the air bag might deploy too quickly, which could increase the risk of serious injury to that child.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will update the air bag control module with new software, and this repair is completely free. You'll get a notification when it's time to schedule the update.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Audi Q7 vehicles. The air bag control module may deploy the second stage of the front passenger air bag too quickly after the first stage when the seat is occupied by an unbelted child. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA

What Happened
The camera system in your vehicle helps you see what's behind you. In certain 2019-2026 models, there's a software glitch that could prevent the camera image from appearing on your screen.
Risk if Unfixed
If the rearview camera image doesn't show up, you'll have a reduced view of what's behind your vehicle. This means you might not see a child, pet, or object that's behind you, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will update the camera system software to fix the issue, at no cost to you.

The camera on your Q7's windshield helps your vehicle avoid collisions by detecting objects in front of you. The camera's heating element is designed to keep it clear of fog and ice, but a software glitch could cause it to overheat.

If the heating element overheats, it could catch fire and cause a serious safety issue — potentially leading to a fire in your vehicle.

The C-pillar is the column behind the rear seats in your Audi Q7. The padding on this part helps absorb the impact of a crash, but in some 2018-2020 models, it might not do its job well enough.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're not buckled up and crash into something, your head could hit the C-pillar and get hurt. This could lead to serious injury.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the C-pillar padding with a new, safer version – it's completely free. You'll get a notification from Audi, and they'll take care of the repair.
