Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The camera on your Q7's windshield helps your vehicle avoid collisions by detecting objects in front of you. The camera's heating element is designed to keep it clear of fog and ice, but a software glitch could cause it to overheat.
Risk if Unfixed
If the heating element overheats, it could catch fire and cause a serious safety issue — potentially leading to a fire in your vehicle.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will update the camera's software and replace the faulty heating element at no cost to you. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
