ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING Safety Recalls

Critical #26V080000 Plain English
Component

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:HARD PARTS INTERNAL/MECHANICAL

Manufacturer
Nissan North America, Inc.
What Happened
Your vehicle's 3-cylinder 1.5L engine has a potential issue with the engine bearings. Increased temperatures can break down the engine oil, which may cause the engine bearings to seize and become damaged.
Risk if Unfixed
If the engine bearings fail, you could lose power while driving, which increases the risk of an accident. Additionally, the engine block could crack, causing hot oil to spill out and potentially start a fire.
Free Fix
Nissan will inspect and reprogram your vehicle's engine control module software, check for any trouble codes, and test drive the vehicle at no cost to you. They may also inspect the oil pan for metal debris and replace the engine if necessary, all free of charge.
