Component

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:HARD PARTS INTERNAL/MECHANICAL

Manufacturer
Nissan North America, Inc.
What Happened
The engine bearings in your 2023-2025 Rogue with a 1.5L VC-Turbo engine are in charge of keeping your engine running smoothly. Over time, extremely hot temperatures could break down the oil, causing the bearings to seize and potentially ruin the engine.
Risk if Unfixed
If the bearings fail, you could lose power while driving, which would increase the risk of a crash. In the worst-case scenario, the engine block could crack, releasing hot oil and potentially causing a fire.
Free Fix
Your Nissan dealer will reprogram the engine software, check for any issues, and take your vehicle for a test drive – all at no cost to you. They may also inspect the oil pan for any damage and replace the engine if needed, and the repair will be free.

Original — What Happened
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Rogue vehicles equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5L variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engines. Original — Risk if Unfixed
Engine failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. A bearing failure may cause a breach in the engine block, allowing hot oil to be discharged, increasing the risk of an engine fire.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will reprogram the engine control module (ECM) software, inspect for diagnostic trouble codes, and test drive the vehicle, free of charge. The dealer may also inspect the oil pan for metal debris, and replace the engine if necessary. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 8, 2026. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM:THROTTLEBODY/MANIFOLD

Manufacturer
Nissan North America, Inc.
What Happened
The electronic throttle body in your Rogue is a complex system that helps control the air and fuel mixture your engine needs to run. In some 2024-2025 Rogues with the 1.5L turbo engine, the gears inside this system could break.
Risk if Unfixed
If the gears break, you could lose power while driving, making it harder to control your vehicle. This increases the risk of a crash, especially if you're driving at higher speeds.
Free Fix
Your Nissan dealer will update the engine computer and inspect the throttle body. If it's faulty, they'll replace it for you at no cost. You'll be notified by mail with the details, but if you're concerned, you can contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261 for more information.

What Happened
The rearview camera system in your Rogue or INFINITI QX80 is designed to give you a clear view of what's behind your vehicle when you're in reverse. Unfortunately, some 2024-2025 models may display a blank screen in this mode.
Risk if Unfixed

Free Fix
Your dealer will update the in-vehicle infotainment software to fix the issue, and this update will be done at no cost to you. Simply have your vehicle checked as soon as you receive the recall notice.
