SERVICE BRAKES

Manufacturer
Nissan North America, Inc.
What Happened
Your vehicle's brake system is critical to stopping safely. The front wheel hub assembly is a crucial part that connects your brake caliper to the wheel. In some 2014-2015 Pathfinders, QX60s, and Rogues, the fasteners that hold this assembly together might not have been tightened correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fasteners aren't tightened right, the brake caliper could come loose, reducing your braking power and making it harder to steer. This could increase your risk of being involved in a crash.
Free Fix
Your Nissan dealer will check your vehicle and tighten any loose fasteners to the correct specification, all at no cost to you. You should schedule this service as soon as possible to ensure your vehicle handles safely.

During the assembly process, the front wheel hub assembly fasteners may not have been properly torqued.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
The under-torqued fasteners may result in a brake caliper separating from the wheel assembly causing a reduction in braking performance or reduced steering control. These conditions increase the risk of a crash.
Original — Remedy
Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles and tighten any loose bolts to the proper specification, free of charge. The recall began February 2, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

What Happened

Risk if Unfixed
If the passenger air bag doesn't deploy in a crash because of this error, you're at a higher risk of serious injury to the passenger.
Free Fix
