What Happened
Your Rogue or Rogue Sport has a special key that's designed to prevent theft. The key can fold up into a compact shape, but in rare cases, it might fold while you're driving.
Risk if Unfixed
If the key folds while you're driving, you might accidentally shut off your engine. If that happens, your airbags might not deploy in a crash, which could lead to more severe injuries.

How to Get This Fixed

Free Fix
Your Nissan dealer will insert a small spacer into your key to prevent it from folding, and this repair is completely free. You should schedule the fix as soon as you get the recall notice.
