What Happened
The electrical system in your Rogue has a part called the harness connector, which keeps your car's electrical systems working properly. In certain years and models, this connector can get damaged by water and salt seeping into the floor of your car.
Risk if Unfixed
If the harness connector gets damaged by water and salt, it could cause a short circuit, which can lead to a vehicle fire.
Free Fix
Your Nissan dealer will inspect the electrical system in your Rogue and replace the damaged harness connector and seal with new, waterproof components – at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair when you receive the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2008-2013 Nissan Rogue vehicles manufactured March 7, 2007, to November 26, 2013, and 2014 Nissan Rogue Select vehicles manufactured September 23, 2013, to July 2, 2014. The affected vehicles may experience an electrical short in the harness connector due to a mixture of snow/water and salt seeping through the carpet on the driver side floor near the harness connector.

Original — Remedy
Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the kick panel wiring harness connector and will if necessary install a new harness connector and waterproof seal, free of charge. The recall began on February 26, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

What Happened
Your vehicle is equipped with a Garmin Nuvi 750 navigation system, which is a GPS device that provides directions and maps. This device has a battery that can get too hot and cause a problem.
Risk if Unfixed
If the battery gets too hot, it could catch fire, which could cause damage to your vehicle or even lead to an accident.
Free Fix
Nissan will contact you to schedule a free repair, where a Garmin technician will replace the faulty battery and add a spacer on top of the new battery, all at no cost to you.
