ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:HARD PARTS INTERNAL/MECHANICAL
Manufacturer
Nissan North America, Inc.
What Happened
The bearings in your engine are like the tiny ball bearings in a bike's wheels. In your 2021-2024 Rogue, 2019-2020 Altima, 2019-2022 Infiniti QX50, or 2022 Infiniti QX55, the engine bearings might be faulty and could cause engine failure.
Risk if Unfixed
If the engine bearings fail, your engine could seize up while you're driving, increasing the risk of a crash. In the worst case, the engine block could crack, allowing hot oil to leak out and potentially cause an engine fire.
Free Fix
Your authorized Nissan or Infiniti dealer will update the software in your engine's computer, free of charge. You should schedule the update as soon as possible once you receive the recall notice.
