AIR BAGS

Manufacturer
NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC.
What Happened
The airbag control unit in your vehicle uses sensors to detect if someone is sitting in the passenger seat. In some 2007-2009 models, a faulty component might not send the right signal, which could stop the airbag from deploying in a crash.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, the passenger airbag won't deploy, and you or your passenger may not get the protection you need in a crash — which could lead to serious injury or even death.
Free Fix
Your dealer will use a special tool to check the airbag system, and if needed, will replace the faulty seat cushion with a new one that's designed to work properly. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as possible.
