What Happened
The rearview camera system in your Rogue or INFINITI QX80 is designed to give you a clear view of what's behind your vehicle when you're in reverse. Unfortunately, some 2024-2025 models may display a blank screen in this mode.
Risk if Unfixed
If the camera screen goes blank while you're backing up, you'll have reduced visibility of the area behind your vehicle. This could increase the risk of a crash, especially when reversing in tight spaces.
Free Fix
Your dealer will update the in-vehicle infotainment software to fix the issue, and this update will be done at no cost to you. Simply have your vehicle checked as soon as you receive the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Rogue and 2025 INFINITI QX80 vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Original — Risk if Unfixed
The loss of the rearview camera image while in reverse can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Original — Remedy
The in-vehicle infotainment software will be updated by an over-the-air (OTA) software update or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 2, 2024. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261 or INFINITI's customer service at 1-800-662-6200. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R24B3 and R24B4.
