What Happened
The side curtain air bags in your Audi Q7 are designed to protect you in the event of a side crash. Unfortunately, some 2019 models may not inflate properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the side curtain air bags fail to deploy in a side crash, you could be at risk of serious injury from hitting the vehicle's interior or windows.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the side curtain air bags with new ones that work properly, and this repair is completely free. You'll receive a notification with instructions on how to schedule the repair.

Original — What Happened
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2019 Audi Q7 vehicles. In the event of a crash, the side curtain air bags may not properly inflate.

An air bag that does not properly inflate in the event of a crash can increase the risk of injury.
Original — Remedy
Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will replace the side curtain air bags, free of charge. The recall began March 19, 2020. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 69AJ.
