What Happened
The recliner in your Elantra's front seats connects to the seat back. In some 2021 models, it might not have been properly welded, which could cause it to break loose.
Risk if Unfixed
If that happens in a crash, the recliner could separate from the seat back frame, potentially leading to serious injury.
Free Fix
Your Hyundai dealer will inspect and replace the seat back frame assembly if needed – for free. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice, which was mailed on June 21, 2021.
