What Happened
The electronic oil pump in your Palisade, Tucson, Sonata, Elantra, or Kona is a small computer-controlled pump that helps your engine run smoothly. In some 2023-2024 models, a faulty electrical component can cause the pump to overheat.
Risk if Unfixed
If the oil pump controller overheats, it could cause a fire in your vehicle, which is a serious risk to your safety.
Free Fix
Your Hyundai dealer will inspect the oil pump controller and replace it if necessary, all at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice, and park your vehicle outside and away from flammable materials until the repair is done.

Original — What Happened
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Palisade Tucson, 2023 Sonata, Elantra, and Kona vehicles. The electronic controller for the Idle Stop & Go oil pump assembly may contain damaged electrical components that can cause the pump controller to overheat.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
An electric oil pump assembly that overheats increases the risk of a vehicle fire.
Original — Remedy
Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will inspect and replace the electric oil pump controller, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed starting September 7, 2023. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 246.

What Happened
The emblem on the cover of your Elantra's front air bag is a small plastic piece that might not be securely attached. This is a problem in certain 2022 and 2023 models.
Risk if Unfixed
If the emblem detaches when the air bag deploys, it could hit you in the face, which could cause injury.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the air bag cover with a new one that's properly attached, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2022 Elantra N and 2022-2023 Elantra vehicles. The emblem on the cover of the driver's front air bag may not have been welded properly, which can result in the emblem detaching upon deployment.

A detached air bag cover emblem may strike a vehicle occupant, which can increase the risk of injury.
