Manufacturer
HYUNDAI MOTOR COMPANY
What Happened
The brake tubes in your vehicle are like the lifelines that carry brake fluid from the front to the back of the car. In certain models, they could be rubbing against metal brackets near the front suspension, causing wear and corrosion.
Risk if Unfixed

Free Fix
Your Hyundai dealer will reposition the brake tubes to avoid the metal brackets, add clips to keep the tubes in place, and apply a protective coating to prevent corrosion. This service is completely free, and you'll get a notification letter with instructions on how to schedule the repair.

ON VEHICLES THAT ARE NOT EQUIPPED WITH ABS, THE REAR BRAKE TUBES MAY CONTACT ONLY THE LEFT MOUNTING BRACKET. CONTACT BETWEEN THE REAR BRAKE TUBES AND THE STEERING BRACKETS COULD CAUSE WEAR AND CORROSION THAT COULD RESULT IN BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE.
Original — Risk if Unfixed

Original — Remedy
DEALERS WILL REPOSITION THE REAR BRAKE TUBES SO THEY DO NOT CONTACT THE MOUNTING BRACKETS, INSTALL BRAKE TUBE CLIPS TO CONTROL THE LOCATION OF THE REAR BRAKE TUBES, AND APPLY ANTI-CORROSION MATERIAL TO THE TUBES IN THE AREAS WHERE CONTACT WITH THE MOUNTING BRACKETS MAY HAVE OCCURRED.
