What Happened
The brake tubes in your vehicle are the flexible hoses that connect your rear brakes to the rest of the braking system. In some cases, these tubes can rub against metal brackets near the steering gear, causing them to wear down and corrode over time.
Risk if Unfixed
This wear and corrosion could cause brake fluid to leak, which would weaken your brakes and make it harder to stop your vehicle. If this happens, you could lose control of your car and be involved in a crash.
Free Fix
Your Hyundai dealer will reposition the brake tubes, add protective clips, and apply a special coating to prevent further corrosion. This repair is completely free, and you should schedule it as soon as you receive the recall notice.
