Component
STRUCTURE:BODY:ROOF AND PILLARS
Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The C-pillar is the vertical support behind the rear window in your Q7. The padding on this pillar helps protect you and your passengers in a crash. In some 2018-2020 models, this padding might not do its job.
Risk if Unfixed
In a crash, an unbuckled rider's head could hit the C-pillar and get hurt more easily than it should.
Free Fix
Audi will replace the C-pillar padding with a new, safer design, at no cost to you. Your local Audi dealer will do this fix, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
