What Happened
The lower control arm ball joint in your Elantra is a crucial part that helps connect your front wheels to the rest of the suspension. It's possible that the fasteners that hold it in place weren't tightened properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the ball joint comes loose while you're driving, the front wheel could detach from your car, making it hard to steer. This could cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Hyundai dealer will check the ball joint fasteners and tighten them if needed, all at no cost to you. You should schedule the inspection as soon as possible.
