What Happened
The headliner support bracket in your Elantra is a small part that holds the roof lining in place. In some 2011-2013 models, this bracket can come loose and hit you during a side airbag deployment.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, you could get a serious cut or laceration injury from the loose bracket. This is a potential risk in a side collision.
Free Fix
Your Hyundai dealer will apply a special adhesive strip to the headliner to keep the bracket in place, and this repair is completely free for you. You should schedule the fix as soon as you get the recall notice.
