What Happened
The seat belt buckle in your Audi is the part that keeps you safe by holding the seat belt in place. In some 2025 Audi models, the buckle might be missing a tiny metal piece that keeps it connected to the seat.

Your Audi dealer will replace the front seat belt buckles with new ones that meet safety standards, at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get your recall notice.

Original — What Happened
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2025 Audi RS Q8, Audi Q8, Audi Q7, and Audi SQ8 vehicles. The driver and front passenger seat belt buckles may be missing a rivet that secures the buckle to the seat belt stalk.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
A seat belt that is missing a rivet may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will replace both front seat belt buckles, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 3, 2025. Owners may contact Audi at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 692K. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on November 14, 2025.
