Component

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM)

Manufacturer
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)
What Happened
The engine control module in your Ram truck is like the brain of the engine, managing everything that happens inside. In some 2022 models with Cummins diesel engines, this module might have a small problem with a capacitor that's not properly aligned.
Risk if Unfixed
If the capacitor shorts out, your engine could suddenly lose power, making it hard to control your vehicle. This loss of power could increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your authorized Ram dealer will replace the faulty engine control module with a new one, at no cost to you. Just schedule the repair when you receive the recall notice.
