Component
AIR BAGS:FRONTAL
Manufacturer
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)
What Happened
The steering column control module in your Ram is like a brain that tells the airbag when to deploy. In certain 2021-2022 models, this module might not work properly, so the driver's side airbag might not protect you in a crash.
Risk if Unfixed
If the driver's side airbag doesn't deploy as it should, you could be more likely to get hurt in a crash because you won't have the extra protection that the airbag provides.
Free Fix
Your Ram dealer will replace the faulty steering column control module with a new one at no cost to you. Just schedule the repair when you receive your recall notice, and they'll take care of it for free.
