What Happened
The rearview camera in your Rogue or QX80 helps you see behind your vehicle when you're in reverse. But in some 2024-2025 models, a software glitch can cause the camera to show a blank screen instead.
Risk if Unfixed
If the rearview camera fails while you're reversing, you'll have a blind spot, making it harder to see what's behind you. This could increase the risk of a crash, especially when backing into traffic or parking spots.
Free Fix
Nissan will update the software in your infotainment system with a free over-the-air update or at a dealership, whichever is easier for you. You'll receive a notice in the mail, and you can also call Nissan or INFINITI customer service for more information.

Original — What Happened
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Rogue and 2025 INFINITI QX80 vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

The loss of the rearview camera image while in reverse can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

The in-vehicle infotainment software will be updated by an over-the-air (OTA) software update or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 2, 2024. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261 or INFINITI's customer service at 1-800-662-6200. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R24B3 and R24B4.
