What Happened
The hydraulic power steering pump in your Wrangler or Gladiator is the part that helps you steer the vehicle. It's controlled by an electric pump, and in some 2021-2025 models, the wiring might overheat.
Risk if Unfixed
If the wiring overheats, even when your engine is turned off, it could ignite a fire in your vehicle. This could cause serious injury or damage to your property.
Free Fix
Your dealer will inspect the wiring and replace any faulty parts for free. Meanwhile, you should park your vehicle outside, away from buildings, until the repair is done.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Jeep Wrangler, Wrangler 4XE, and Jeep Gladiator vehicles. The electric hydraulic power steering pump wiring may overheat and cause a vehicle fire, even when the vehicle is parked with the ignition in the "Off" position.

The remote start antenna cable may be pinched, which can cause the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light not to illuminate as intended. The steering column control module may not be welded properly, which can prevent the driver's air bag from deploying in a crash.
