What Happened
The steering column pivot rivet is a small metal fastener that holds your steering wheel in place. In some 2011 models of your vehicle, this rivet might be missing or not installed correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If your steering column fails during a frontal crash, you could be at a higher risk of injury. This is because the steering column might not be able to support the forces of the crash, compromising the effectiveness of the airbags.
Free Fix
Your authorized dealer will inspect the steering column pivot rivet and make any necessary repairs at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible to ensure your safety on the road.
