In some 4Runner, Highlander, Sequoia, and other models from 2005 to 2011, the wiring in the seat heaters can get damaged when the seat cushion is compressed.
Risk if Unfixed
If the wiring gets damaged, the copper heating element can short circuit, which could cause a fire while you're driving or parked.
Free Fix
Your dealer will disconnect the seat heaters, and you'll get a refund for the cost of the accessory. This service is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
