What Happened
Toyota is recalling certain vehicles with air bag inflators that may explode due to propellant degradation, posing a risk of injury or death from sharp metal fragments.
Risk if Unfixed
If an inflator explodes, sharp metal fragments could strike you or your passengers, causing serious injury or death.
Free Fix
Toyota will replace the front passenger air bag inflator or the entire air bag assembly for free, starting on February 15, 2019. You can contact Toyota at 1-800-331-4331 for more information.
