What Happened
The hood scoop on your Toyota Tacoma or 4Runner is a plastic piece that helps direct airflow to the engine. It's held on with a special adhesive, but in some 2011-2016 models, this adhesive can weaken over time.
Risk if Unfixed
If the hood scoop detaches while you're driving, it could become a road hazard and cause a crash. It could also damage your vehicle's hood or other parts.
Free Fix
Your SET dealer will securely attach the hood scoop to your vehicle using mechanical fasteners, and it's completely free. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible to ensure your safety on the road.
