Component
SEAT BELTS:FRONT:BUCKLE ASSEMBLY
Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
The front seat belt buckle is the part that keeps you secure in your seat. In some 2017-2020 CR-V, Accord, Odyssey, Insight, and 2019-2020 Acura RDX models, a manufacturing flaw can make it hard for the buckle to latch properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the buckle doesn't latch, it won't hold you in place during a crash. This increases the risk of serious injury or harm.
Free Fix
Your Honda dealer will replace the faulty seat belt buckle release buttons or assemblies – at no charge to you. You'll get a recall notice, but if you contact them before then, you can schedule the fix earlier.
