What Happened
The fuel pump in your vehicle is the part that sends gasoline from the tank to your engine. In certain models, this pump can fail without warning, even if you're driving on the highway or in city traffic.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pump fails on the road, your engine will suddenly shut off, causing you to lose power steering and power brakes. This could make it hard to control your vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your authorized Honda dealer will replace the faulty fuel pump module with a new one, absolutely free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice, which was mailed on September 6, 2024.

The fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.

What Happened
The piston in your engine is a crucial part that helps your engine run smoothly. In some 2013 Pilot and Odyssey models, the piston might not have gotten the right heat treatment, making it wear out faster than it should.

Honda is recalling certain model year 2013 Pilot 2WD and 4WD vehicles and certain model year 2013 Odyssey vehicles. During manufacturing of the engine piston, it is possible that the heat treatment process was not properly applied, resulting in the piston having an insufficient hardness level, making it more susceptible to premature wear.

The brake-shift interlock is a safety feature that keeps you from accidentally rolling away while parked. In your 2012-2013 CR-V, Odyssey, or 2013 RDX, this system might not work properly in very cold temperatures.

If it doesn't work right, you could accidentally leave your vehicle in gear without engaging the brake pedal. This means your car could roll away, increasing the risk of a crash.

Honda is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 CR-V, Odyssey, and model year 2013 Acura RDX vehicles. During sub-freezing temperatures, the brake-shift interlock blocking mechanism may become slow and allow the gear selector to be moved from the Park position without pressing the brake pedal. As such, these vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention."

Your vehicle's airbag system is a safety net that deploys in a crash to protect you. There's a small metal part that holds the airbag in place, but in some 2009-2013 Pilot and 2011-2013 Odyssey models, this part might be missing.

If a crash happens and the airbag doesn't deploy correctly because of this missing part, you could be at a higher risk of injury. This is a serious safety issue that needs to be addressed.

Original — What Happened
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2011-2017 Honda Odyssey vehicles. The second row outboard seats can slide sideways to one of two positions. If a seat is placed between either of the two positions when attaching the seat to the vehicle floor, the seat will not latch properly to the seat striker, allowing the seat to tip forward unexpectedly during braking.

The release lever on your Odyssey's second row seats lets you move them for access to the third row. But in some 2011-2016 models, this lever can get stuck in the 'unlocked' position, allowing the seat to move unexpectedly.

If the seat shifts while you're driving, it could hit you or someone else, causing injury during a crash.

Your Honda dealer will add an extra bracket and spring to both second row outboard seats to prevent this from happening. This repair is free, and you'll be notified by Honda with instructions on how to schedule the fix.

The affected vehicles have second row outboard seats that have a release lever that allows the seats to move for easier access to the third row of seats. This release lever may remain in the unlocked position allowing the seats to move unexpectedly.
