Component
STEERING
Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
The steering gear box in your 2023-2024 Odyssey or 2024 Acura RDX is responsible for helping you steer smoothly. In some cases, it might not have been tightened correctly, which lets water in and causes the gears to corrode and bind.
Risk if Unfixed
If the steering gears corrode and bind, you could lose control of your vehicle, especially on the road. This could lead to a serious accident.
Free Fix
Your authorized Honda dealer will replace the electric power steering rack with a new one, at no cost to you. Just schedule the repair when you receive the recall notice.
