Component
LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH
Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
The outer door handle cables on your Odyssey are like the flexible arms that help you open your sliding doors. In certain 2018-2020 models, water could seep into these cables and freeze in cold weather, making them stiff and unable to work properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the door handle cables freeze, your sliding doors may not latch securely. This means the door could open while you're moving, increasing the risk of injury to you or your passengers.
Free Fix
Your Honda dealer will replace the faulty door handle cables for free. They'll make sure your sliding doors latch securely, and you won't be charged a thing.
