The part that keeps your doors closed is called the door latch. In some 2011-2016 Ford vehicles, this latch might not work properly, making it hard to close the doors or making you think they're locked when they're not.
Risk if Unfixed
If your door isn't securely latched, it could swing open while you're driving, putting you and your passengers at risk of injury.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will inspect the latch to see if it was fixed correctly after the previous recall. If not, they'll replace it for free. You'll get a letter with instructions on how to schedule the repair, or you can check the date codes online to see if the fix was done right.
