What Happened
Your vehicle may be using a specific aftermarket fuel filter made by Purolator, part number F65277, which was shipped between January 16 and June 2, 2006. This filter has a design issue where the quick connector might not fully attach to the tube, even if it looks secure.
Risk if Unfixed
If the filter connection fails, fuel can spill out and, if there's an ignition source nearby, a fire could break out. This could cause serious damage to your vehicle and possibly harm you or others.
Free Fix
UFI will notify you and replace the faulty filter with a safe one, free of charge. You should contact UFI Filters USA at 800-230-5876 to schedule the replacement.
