What Happened
The fuel filter in your vehicle is a part that helps keep the fuel system clean and safe. The affected filters, made by Purolator, may not connect properly, even if it looks like they're attached.

If this connection fails, fuel could spill out and, if an ignition source is nearby, a fire could start.
Free Fix

What Happened
The pawl mechanism in your rear door latch is a small part that helps the door close and lock properly. In some vehicles sold in certain states, corrosion can build up and make this mechanism bind, causing the door to stick or not latch correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If your rear door isn't latching properly, it could open while you're driving, and you or a passenger could fall out. This could lead to serious personal injuries.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will add a seal to the door and check the latch to make sure it's working correctly. If it's not, they'll replace it for you at no cost. They'll also add a sticker to remind you to use a special lubricant to prevent future corrosion. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
