VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL Safety Recalls

Under Review #06V441000 Plain English
Component

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

Manufacturer
VOLVO CARS OF N.A. LLC.
What Happened
The throttle positioning sensor in your vehicle helps control how far the accelerator pedal moves. In some cases, this sensor may not work properly, and a dirty throttle housing or software issue could cause problems.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, a warning light will turn on, and your vehicle may go into a reduced power mode, which could make it harder to accelerate or control while driving.
Free Fix
Your Volvo dealer will update the software in your vehicle's computer to fix this issue, and you won't have to pay a thing. This update will help prevent the warning light and reduced power mode from coming on unnecessarily.
