SEAT BELTS:FRONT

Manufacturer
Volvo Car USA LLC
What Happened
The seat belt anchor cable in your vehicle is a critical part that connects the seat belt to your front seats. Over time, this cable can weaken and break, which could prevent the seat belt from keeping you safe in a crash.
Risk if Unfixed
If the cable breaks in a crash, you could be at a higher risk of serious injury because you might not be properly secured by your seat belt.
Free Fix
Your Volvo dealer will replace the faulty seat belt anchor cable for both front seats, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice, and it's essential to have it done to ensure your safety on the road.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Manufacturer
Volvo Cars of N.A., LLC
What Happened
The Central Electronic Module (CEM) is like the brain of your car. It controls many systems, including your windshield wipers, turn signals, and headlights. In some 2014 Volvo S60, S80, XC60, and XC70 models, this module might not work correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the CEM fails, your windshield wipers could keep running even when it's not raining, and your turn signals, high beams, and headlight switch might not work at all. This could make it harder to see and be seen on the road, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Volvo dealer will update the CEM software to fix the issue, free of charge. You'll get a notification when it's time to bring your car in for the update – just schedule it when you receive the notice.
