SEAT BELTS:FRONT

Manufacturer
Volvo Car USA LLC
What Happened
The flexible steel cable in your seat belt is the part that connects you to the seat. In some models from 2007 to 2020, this cable can weaken over time and break, making it harder for the seat belt to keep you secure in an accident.
Risk if Unfixed
If the cable fails, you could be at a higher risk of serious injury in a crash. This is because your seat belt won't be able to restrain you properly, which could lead to more severe harm.
Free Fix
Your Volvo dealer will swap out the old seat belt anchor cable with a new one for both front seats at no cost to you. Just wait for the recall notice and schedule the repair when it's convenient.
