What Happened
The fuel pump in your vehicle is a crucial part that sends gasoline from the tank to your engine. Over time, in hot climates and with varying fuel quality, it can develop cracks in its metal flange.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, you may notice a strong gasoline smell and a fuel leak. If there's an ignition source nearby, it could catch fire.

Your Volvo dealer will inspect your fuel pump and replace it with a redesigned, more reliable one – at no cost to you. Schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.

VOLVO IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2001-2005 S80, MODEL YEAR 2001-2004 V70, S60, XC70 AND MODEL YEAR 2003-2005 XC90 VEHICLES SOLD IN OR REGISTERED IN THE STATES OF ALABAMA, ARIZONA, ARKANSAS, CALIFORNIA, FLORIDA, GEORGIA, HAWAII, KENTUCKY, LOUISIANA, MISSISSIPPI, NEVADA, NEW MEXICO, NORTH CAROLINA, OKLAHOMA, SOUTH CAROLINA, TENNESSEE, TEXAS, UTAH, VIRGINIA AND THE U.S. TERRITORIES. What Happened
The master cylinder is a critical part that helps you control your brakes. It's the part that seals the brake fluid inside your brake system. In certain cases, the seal on your master cylinder can fail and leak brake fluid.
Risk if Unfixed
If the seal fails, you'll lose brake fluid, which means your brakes won't work properly. This could lead to a vehicle crash, putting you and your passengers at risk.
Free Fix
You'll get a notice from Cardone, and they'll offer to take back the defective master cylinder at no cost to you. If you've already paid for a replacement, they'll reimburse you.

What Happened
The front control arms in your vehicle are like the elbows that connect your steering wheel to the wheels. They might not have been built correctly, which could cause them to loosen over time.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, your steering could feel sloppy, and you might notice the steering wheel moving more than usual. If it's not fixed, the control arm could come loose, making it harder to control your vehicle and increasing the chance of a crash.

Volvo Car USA, LLC (Volvo Car) is recalling certain 2001-2006 S80 and 2001-2009 S60 vehicles. The driver's air bag inflator may explode during deployment, due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling.
