What Happened
The airbag inflator in your S80 or S60 is the part that rapidly fills the airbag during a crash to help protect you. In older models, the inflator can degrade over time, especially in humid and hot conditions.
Risk if Unfixed
If the inflator fails and explodes during a crash, sharp metal fragments could fly into the driver's face or body, leading to severe injury or even death.
