What Happened
The fuel pump in your Volvo is the part that sends gasoline from the tank to your engine. Over time, in hot climates with temperature changes and poor fuel quality, it can develop cracks in its seal.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pump cracks, you might smell fuel or see a leak. If an ignition source is nearby, this could cause a fire.
Free Fix
Your Volvo dealer will check your fuel pump and replace it with a redesigned version if necessary, at no cost to you. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.

What Happened

What Happened
The master cylinder is a critical part of your vehicle's brake system, converting the pressure from your brake pedal into the force needed to stop your car. In certain cases, a faulty seal on this part can cause brake fluid to leak out.
Risk if Unfixed
If the brake fluid leaks, your brakes could start to fail while you're driving, making it harder to stop your vehicle. This could lead to a collision.
