VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM:FAN/MOTOR

Manufacturer
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)
What Happened
The blower motor in your Jeep Grand Cherokee is like the fan that blows air through your vents to clear the windshield. In some 2023 models, this fan may stop working.
Risk if Unfixed
If the blower motor fails, the windshield defrosting and defogging system won't work. This could make it hard to see through the windshield, especially during rain or snow, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Jeep dealer will inspect and replace the blower motor if it's faulty, all at no charge to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice, and you can also contact Chrysler's customer service at 1-800-853-1403 with any questions.

VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM

Manufacturer
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)
What Happened
The defroster system in your Wrangler or Grand Cherokee is controlled by a computer chip called the hybrid control processor. In some 2021-2024 models, a software glitch could shut down this system, leaving you with a foggy windshield.
Risk if Unfixed
If the defroster and defogger aren't working, your visibility can be reduced, making it harder to see the road. This increases the risk of a crash, especially in low-visibility conditions like rain, snow, or fog.
Free Fix
Your authorized Jeep dealer will update the software controlling the defroster system, and this repair is completely free. You should schedule the update as soon as you receive the recall notice.
