What Happened
The second-row seat belt buckle in your Jeep Grand Cherokee is held in place by a critical bolt that might not be tightened correctly.

Original — What Happened
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. A bolt for the second-row seat belt buckle may not be tightened properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

An improperly secured seat belt buckle may not properly restrain occupants during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Dealers will inspect and tighten the second-row seat buckle bolt as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 9, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 70B.
