What Happened
The steering column in your vehicle connects your steering wheel to the wheels. Unfortunately, the steering yoke in certain models wasn't properly attached to the steering shaft.
Risk if Unfixed
If the yoke comes loose, you might lose control of your vehicle while driving, which could cause a crash.
Free Fix
Your Toyota dealer will inspect and replace the steering column assembly, free of charge, to ensure it's securely attached. This repair is free, so schedule it as soon as possible.

Original — What Happened
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE STEERING YOKE WAS NOT WELDED TO THE STEERING SHAFT. IF THE VEHICLE IS OPERATED IN THIS CONDITION, THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT THE YOKE MAY COME OFF FROM THE SHAFT, AND COULD RESULT IN A LOSS OF VEHICLE STEERING CONTROL.
