Free Fix
Your Toyota dealer will inspect the air bag control module and add a protective filter to ensure it works correctly, all at no cost to you. You'll be notified of the repair details by mail.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: CRASH IMMINENT BRAKING

Manufacturer
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing
What Happened
If your Avalon or ES350 has a Pre-Collision System (PCS), it's designed to help prevent accidents by applying the brakes if it senses a potential collision. However, in certain situations, the system might mistake a steel joint or plate on the road for an object and brake unexpectedly.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, your vehicle could suddenly brake, which increases the risk of a collision — especially at higher speeds.
Free Fix
Your dealership will replace the affected PCS components, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible to ensure your safety on the road.
