AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION

Manufacturer
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing
What Happened
The Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensor in your vehicle helps decide whether the front passenger air bag should inflate in a crash. In some 2020-2022 models, this sensor could develop a short circuit.
Risk if Unfixed
If the front passenger air bag doesn't deploy during a crash, you could be at higher risk of injury because you won't have the added protection of the air bag.
Free Fix
Your Toyota dealer will check the sensor and replace it if necessary, all at no cost to you. You'll receive a notification letter with instructions on how to schedule the repair, and you can also call Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331 to start the process.
